Blake watched as the girl approached his truck. He was use to people stopping and checking out his truck and it wasn’t unusual for him to walk out of the store and see people taking pictures of his truck. That’s just what happened when you drove a classic. Since he had it repainted, because the original paint job had seen better days, he had noticed that it seemed to draw more attention. He narrowed his eyes as she moved closer to the it, so long as she didn’t scratch or damage it, he was fine with her checking it out. The guy had done an amazing job painting the truck, probably one of the best jobs Blake had seen in a very long time, so he understood why the woman might be staring. When she didn’t move away after some time, he decided to check her out. Maybe she wanted some information on the truck? If so, he would be happy to oblige. Trucks and cars were a passion of his and not may people share that passion. For the most part, people just liked classic cars and trucks because they were pretty and different, but he knew that they were way more than just a pretty face. There was so much more too them under the hood, that’s were all the power laid and where you would find anything of value. That’s what he loved most about restoring old trucks and cars, that you could take something worn and broken, discarded by others because they no longer saw the value in it or it no longer preformed for them, and with a little elbow grease, lots of patience, and (as crazy as this sounds) love. It’s amazing what it can turn into. It becomes something that people want to stop and check out, take pictures and know more about. Suddenly, something that someone deemed worthless becomes something of value. He favorite part, though, was when he finally had the engine up and running. Hearing that engine purr for the first time is, well, lets just say that there’s no other feeling like it… Downing the last of his beer, he made his way over to her, ignoring the stares and giggles of the women around the fire as he passed. So, what do you think? he asked with a grin, as he leaned against the front of the truck so he could face her. His green eyes shined in the firelight and the flickering light played up his handsome features. He studied the women as he reclined against his truck, she didn’t look like she was from around here. He did notice that she was wearing a jacket, despite the blazing heat coming off the fire, but he didn’t comment on it as he was wearing one too. Who was he to judge? Anyway, it did look really well made, the leather was lovely. I like your jacket he said, raising his eyes to hers.

Tell me anything -He was adopted by the Cavener's when he was five. His had parents died in a sailing accident when he was two years old. He doesn't have any memories of them, as he was too young and honestly, he doesn't really care to remember them. The Cavener's are his family and that is all that matters to him. -Like most, okay all, of the Cavener boys, he grew up playing many different spots, but the one that he ended up sticking with was soccer. It didn't pay much, but it was enough to get him through school. -Has a communications degree -For the most part, his is a really even tempered guy, but he lacks patience which can cause his temper to run short sometimes. So, watch your step when his temper flares because he can be like a tornado barreling through anyone and anything that crosses his path. -He can be naive when it comes to someone expressing an interest in him because he has had so little experience. So, you have to be very forward otherwise, it may go right over his head.

The soft clicking of gears was the only sound that gave away his presence as he peddled up the driveway of the stable. His tires crunched on the gravel and he wobbled a bit, getting distracted as he took in his surroundings. He was impressed, this stable was really nice and looked brand spanking new.
Fresh out of college and unable to find a job, like so many Americans these days, he was having to live with Blake until he could scrounge enough money to afford a place of his own; or a car for that matter. Having to ride his bike around cramped his style, but with no money to his name he was lucky he even had a bike. God, it sucked being poor. He sighed when he thought of his bank account, but moved past it quickly trying to get his head into the game. He was here looking for work and the last thing he needed to do was sulk just before an interview, not the best first impression. He hadn’t called ahead, he was just showing up and hoping whoever owned this place could use an extra pair of hands. As he neared the house, he hopped off his bike and walked it the rest of the way, only stopping to prop it up against the house. Setting his helmet on the handlebars, he did his best to fix his hair, which, after the long bike ride looked a little like hat hair. After a moment of fretting, he felt satisfied that it would do and climbed the stairs, his nerves starting to kick in, but he took a deep breath to steady himself and then reached up, knocking on the door.

It was a crisp morning and the sun was just beginning to rise when Grayson pulled up in front of Waterfront. Seth was asleep in the back seat snoring; he had been thrilled to go with Grayson, but hadn’t been quite ready to start the day, which is why he had made himself at home in the back. Grayson cleared his throat and turned the truck off, reaching for his cup of coffee as he popped the door open and hopped out. Seth he said gently to arouse the slumbering dog Let’s go. taking a step back from to let the still sleepy eyed dog out. Seth clambered out slowly, still not totally ready to start the day; the sun wasn’t even out for heavens sake! A yawn pressed at his muzzle and he pealed back his lips and curled his tongue releasing the pressure. Taking a bow, he stretched his legs out before giving himself a good shake and sitting down, still looking a little blurry-eyed and slightly bewildered. Grayson smiled in amusement as he reached down, ruffling Seth’s ears before shutting the truck door close and shoving the keys into his pocket. Come on let’s go he said taking off to the track, coffee in hand and Seth in tow. It was such a pleasant morning, the air was crisp and the sun’s rays were just beginning to touch the buildings and landscapes, giving them a silhouette look. The sky was painted in the most astounding and breathtaking colors that could rival any sunrise in Texas. Pausing, he took a moment to admire it and wished that he had a way to capture its beauty, whether in a photograph or painting. He carried neither of those things right now, and so he simply watched as the sun kept painting brilliant colors in the sky as it rose. Some moments just weren’t meant to be captured, they were just meant to be remembered and enjoyed in the moment, like this one. With a smile he looked down at Seth Just beautiful isn’t it? he said looking back at the sky while absentmindedly stroking Seth’s head. Seth let out a small bark as if he was agreeing with his owner and Grayson chuckled, his eyes twinkling as he glanced back down at his dog. Shaking his head, he moved towards the track with Seth trotting his heels the whole way. When they finally reached the track, Grayson leaned against the railing, quickly scanning the handful of horses out working on the track. He was looking for one horse in particular, but hadn’t spotted her yet. It was still kind of dark, so defining any horse farther out was rather difficult. Taking a sip of his coffee, a contented sigh escaped his lips as the hot liquid traveled down his threat. God, he loved a good cup of coffee in the morning. As he drank his coffee, he continued to watch for her, knowing that she would eventually pass him during her morning workout.
