Xavier
Name Xavier -- Xavier is pronounced ecks-ZAY-vee-er. It is of Spanish, Arabic and Basque origin, and its meaning is "bright splendid new house" Age Seven years Sex Male Alignment Dark.
Parents Unknown X Unknown Kin Five pups. Karei, Kuro, Vladimir, Akasha, Hades.
Pelt Colour Ebony. Eye Colour Green. Scars/Other He carries no scares, but has a white lightning bold over his right eye. Overall Appearance Large big-boned body, almost hulky in appearance. Hard muscles line this ebony brutes body. Standing at four and a half feet tall at the shoulder and six feet in length (tail not included) he is massive boy. His fur is medium in length and thickens during the winter, but thins out during the warmer months giving him a very sleek look. Long legs carry this large brute great distances in short amounts of time.
Likes Pups -- After his were born any and all pups had a special place in his heart. He loves just walking with them while exploring and teaching. Clear, Calm days -- They make him feel content and adventurous. Plus it feels as if there's no drag or something holding him back, like he can cut through anything with ease. Running Things Down -- It gives him a adrenaline rush and he loves to see the fear in his preys eyes, it makes him laugh with joy. Fighting -- Gives him a chance to use his brute strength against others. Makes him feel powerful, plus it gives him a challenge. He loves the smell of blood, and the feel of flesh beneath his teeth. The sight of his opponent wavering with exhaustion is an extra bonus. Scavenger Hunts -- He loves a challenge of any kind, whether it be mental or physical. It makes him feel like he's got something to live for, and it keeps him preoccupied for large amounts of time. One of his favorite challenges is scavenger hunts. Something that makes you think outside of the box, and tests your knowledge, as well as requiring you to travel great distances, over all kinds of challenging terrain. Remember he loves adventure so this game is suited perfectly for him. Dislikes Pointless Questions -- Make him very angry, for they waste his time and most of the time are used to just distract others and him. Repeating Himself -- He despises having to repeat himself over and over again, and often becomes extremely aggressive. So make sure you listen closely to what he says. Ignorance -- Defiance -- Really gets under his skin and normally he doesn't tolerate it for long. Most of the time it will start and end in a bloody battle. He will beat them into submission. Weakness -- Causes him to turn his nose up in disgust, but oddly enough he does watch over it only from a distance though. Quirks Narrowing eyes -- He does this quite a lot, because he's very suspicious by nature, plus it can be used to intimidate others. He's also angry and hateful when others are around and this is one of the way he expresses that. Problems Confrontational -- Meetings are always tense moments because he is so aggressive and unpredictable. He doesn't take orders well, as he's always plowing in the direction he wants to go. Unsympathetic -- Takes no pity on anything and would rather discard or crush it. For weak things cause him to turn up his nose in disgust. Persistent -- He's known to push others and himself way past their breaking points, as he is never willing to give up and pursues things with an unhealthy obsession. Possessive -- Guards and protects everything he owns with an overwhelming anger and is reluctant to share what he owns with others. Overall Personality He is very dedicated boy. For once he has staked claim over something, whether it be a living creature or an object, he sticks to it and will protect it at all costs. He is very unpredictable, letting the actions of others and the weather dictate his mood and temperament, as well as his own actions. Sometimes he does a random act of kindness, but don't expect it to happen twice to the same thing. Acceptance is something that can sometimes come quickly with him while other times hardly at all. He's always testing you in ways you'd never even think of, not that you'll ever know. Adventure has always called to him, even when he was a pup, so once the adventurous bug has set in nothing can stop it, it over rides everything. Even his loyalty to his family, pack, and territory, things he would normally fight for the death for no longer hold even the slightest importance to him. The pull is just to much for him and he normally leaves as soon as that feeling sets in, just to fulfill that need for adventure. The scary thing is that once he leaves, he may never return, for if he finds what he's looking for he's normally happy to stay where he is. Something fresh, new, and just different. He's content to stay there without the slightest thought to what he's left behind. For him, the future is all he can see. History When he was three years old he wandered upon the Forest Whispers pack and decided to stay, but it didn't last long. For he was constantly threatening the other pack members which made him very unpopular. Soon after joining he became very protective of Shadow, always making sure the other kept their distance and knew that she was his. He continuously offered unnecessary and unwanted advice to her. Though he was part of the pack he often spent his days away from the them preferring to be alone, and even had his own den near the border of their territory. This went on for quite a few months, before a young she-wolf named Saria, and her brother, Aro, found their way into the pack. This young she-wolf would change his life forever. At first he shunned her curiosity of him and did everything he could to be rid of her, but eventually her persistence and quirky personality won him over. He fell for her hard after that and she the same. They were inseparable, each each-others shadow. He treated her as if she was priceless. Though their love was not meant to last, and their happy days were numbered. All this time his attitude and actions towards the other in the pack had not changed. This had caused a great rift within the pack, for some wanted him gone but were to afraid to order or ask him to leave, while others wanted to use sheer force and drive him out, but they knew that would not be possible. Shadow had come to him many times telling him he needed to get his temper under control, but that was something unthinkable to him, so he left. He asked Saria to come with him, but her tie to her beloved brother was stronger then her love for him. He left later that day without saying good-bye. He felt no guilt when leaving her only great anticipation at the thought of a place all his own, undiscovered by anyone. Within days he wandered upon a piece of land that he would eventually call home. It wasn't the ideal setting but it was just right for him. He called it the Shrouded Prairie; uncreative, yes, but he loved it none the less because it was his. Not long after he had settled in Saria appeared claiming that her love for him had finally over-powered her love for her brother, and had she raced off to find him. He was over-joyed at having his love once again at his side. They lived happily together for a year, with visitors nonexistent, and soon their first litter of pups were born. Five healthy little ones. His heart swelled with pride and love at the sight of his pups. They were so beautiful. This is where their lives become unraveled. When the pups were one month old he left. No destination in mind other then the need for adventure. He did not tell Saria where he was going or when he was leaving, but one night he snuck out and left. Leaving Saria and his five pups to fend for themselves. He returned a year and a half later to find his Saria dead and pups gone. Saria had killed herself, throwing herself off into a ravine, after hearing false information about his death. His pups had went their own ways. Some made packs of their own while others joined existing ones. Though, strangely enough, one still traveled with his ex-brother-in-law. Now, seven years old, he sits in silent solitude within his baron land and rarely wanders outside of it's boundaries. Though newcomers are not welcomed warmly, persistence does pay off and you may, eventually, find yourself with a new home and an unfaltering guardian.

Xavier skimmed over the land. His long black powerful legs stretched out, the muscles expanding and contracting causing his black coat to ripple. His raven black talons dug into the parched dirt, ripping it out mercilessly. He bared his long jagged white teeth and let out a ferocious snarl as his brow pulled into a chilling glare. He never broke his pace until he arrived at the front of his old den. Dipping his dark head, he lightly skimmed the ground searching... His pups and mate had long since gone, to who knows where leaving the land cold and baron, just the way he liked it. A chilling smile crossed his face and his green eyes glinted evilly as he silently observed his surroundings. His lone large dark body stood silently, a mass that radiated power and darkness. Then suddenly he lifted his massive head and let out a dark, powerful howl that hurled across the territories. Oh, yes the king has returned and he was seeking a queen...

Ember: Ember looked up at the scent of another and his howl. She looked around but he wasn't anywhere in sight. She howled then ran toward the brute. She knew that he had a history of a harsh temper, but she wasn't afraid. Her fiery brown pelt shining red in the light of the noon sun. She didn't know what to expect but she was ready for some action.

Xavier stiffened and his cold green eyes narrowed, as a fresh scent of another wolf reached his nostrils. His lips curled flashing his long white dagger like teeth, and drool seeped out from his jaws. Well, well what do we have here? he thought as he watched the form move closer and closer Looks like lunch to me. he thought smirking. His long pink tongue swept the drool from his ebony jaws before he leapt off to "greet" his guest. His long powerful legs propelled his swiftly towards, this new and unwelcome guest; who, if not careful would become his next meal. His cold green eyes glinted dangerously, as he approached his eyes never leaving the small form the rocked towards him. Then slowly to pace changed from a flat out run to a walk and then a stop, and then he sat curling his tail around his muscular thighs he waited for it to come to him. Not many came onto his territory, and those who did provided nice...entertainment for him... an evil grin stretched across his face and his green eyes danced as he thought back to his last "entertainment" They were quite fun he thought as he examined his lightly blood spattered paws and chest; none of it his of course. Then he sighed impatiently and looked back up at the approaching form his face falling emotionless, only his eyes showed his anger and hatred.

Ember: Ember looked at the black brute. She wasn't afraid. You must be Xavier. he said in a calm voice. She knew that he could kill her with out a second thought. But still she wasn't afraid. She had come here seeking a challenge. She would try to join his pack. She was willing to fight the killer if that was her only chance.

Xavier tilted his head and observed her coldly, his hard green eyes skimmed lightly over her small form before coming to rest upon her face. You would be correct he said his voice very flat. He silently admired her boldness, but his face betrayed nothing. What are you doing here. he stated not bothering to ask her name, his thirst for blood trashed violently inside of him but he ignored it. This she-wolf intrigued him...as well as annoyed him. Then suddenly he felt a slight pang in his heart, it had been so long since another and been here, so long since he decided to return after his great loss.

Ember: Ember looked at Xavier. I have come to ask to join your pack. she said, her voice still calm. She knew it was a stupid thing to say to a wolf like him, but it was the truth. The reddish female waited calmly for his reply. She expected that it wouldn't be easy to convince him that she was good enough to join him. If all else failed, and she lived, she would rejoin Blaze's rouges. But that was only if.

Xavier's lips curled back at her response and a low snarl escaped his lips And what makes you think you are worthy? he bit back the last word that leapt into his throat, his voice and taken on a angry and hateful edge. The suddenly, out of no where he stood, and unwrapping his tail began to circling her. He flashed his fangs and glared her, pressing ever closer, his tolerance for her presence ebbing away.

Ember: Ember held his gaze as she spoke. Then stayed still as he replied. She didn't even flinch at his anger. She had come to expect this. She had heard many talk about the 'evil one' as her pack used to call him. Many feared him, but fear wasn't something Ember usually felt. As he circled, Ember chose her words with care. Your pack is small, I could help you regain your pack's strength. she said. She doubted he would accept this, but if any of the stories were true, he wouldn't accept anything she had to say. She looked straight ahead, not seeming to pay any attention to the midnight brute, though she used her ears to track him.

A blood curling snarl escaped his lips She thought his pack weak!! Xavier's patience for her had finally worn out. He lept on her with lightening speed, snarls flowing effortlessly from his jaws. He grabbed her full on by the throat and lifted her from the ground, her small frame weighed almost nothing to him. He slammed her to the ground and used the weight of his massive body to hold her down. He tightened his jaws, causing his teeth to sink farther into her throat, though he never punctured the skin. He held her there debating on what to do with her. His green eyes glinted with a new found evil and hatred, as he watched her, his snarls never ceasing.

Ember: Ember knew what was coming, yet she stayed still. Then when he pinned her to the ground, she allowed her whole body to go limp. It was a brave move, but very risky. She waited, barley breathing. Either this was the end, or he will let her go. Either way was fine with her. She hated being told what to do by that little devil. Blaze hadn't stolen her, but she had joined the pack just before he became alpha. Then she was stuck there. She could leave, but all the other packs hated her for her pack's crimes.
The small dusty brown essa closed her dark chocolate eyes as Xavier added more pressure to the neck. Her body still limp. She didn't know what he was thinking, but she hoped he would make up his mind soon. The wait was worse than any out-come of this meeting. Her white paws were covered in dirt, from her long travel. She had slipped away when Blaze was out. She knew the ebony drake wouldn't look for her. She wasn't important to him. He could still lead his pack without her.

Xavier felt her body go limp and watched as her dark eyes closed and her will to live slipped away. Slowly his snarls faded away, and then something extraordinary happened...he let her go and stepped back, his expression guarded. Turning his back to her he sat, his whole body going still making him look like a noble dark statue. His green eyes were hard as they looked out over his home, searching... He was very quiet for quite some time and the land seemed to echo his silence, everything was absolutely still as if it was holding it's breath in anticipation, then he spoke. What is the real reason you came here? he asked softly his voice still cold but lacking the anger and hatred it once held. He shifted his gaze to the ground in front of him, studying it, as he quietly awaited her answer. The anger and hatred at left him and now he was...empty and...lonely, something he had not experienced in quiet awhile.

Ember: She sighed as he let go. Not in relief, but just to clear her mind. She still stayed still, but opened her eyes. She turned to see Xavier with his back to her. Then as he spoke she listened. She thought for a moment about what to say, but what was there but the truth? I have no where else. I hate being ordered by Blaze. The other packs hate and fear me and my pack mates for what out Alpha has done. You are my only hope of leaving his pack. I tried living as a loner, but I failed, not because I don't have skill, but because I'm so used to having orders to follow. she said looking at the onyx statue. She sat up and waited for him to answer. She didn't expect anything positive, but what else could help her? He was her last chance, her last hope of a new start.

Good answer... he thought silently as he stood and turned back to her. His green eyes where thoughtful but sharp as he quietly observed her. He weighed her words carefully before deciding to speak. Suddenly his eyebrows pulled into a disgusted look at the mention of Blaze So you are from that little runts pack. You made a wise choice leaving, for he's becoming quite the pest and I was thinking about paying him a little visit. a angry, bordering on hungry, look seeped into his eyes as he tossed the thought around in his head, his lips pulled back revealing his long white teeth, and his tongue slipped over his ebony jaws wiping away the drool that was cascading from them. Then he quickly regained his composure and his whole frame relaxed. He looked back at her, his face soft but eyes hard. He paused a moment before continuing That, and I sense a war approaching. He has played with far to many packs, to be able to walk so freely anymore he said almost matter a-factly. Then he flashed her a quick grin, his green eyes glittering with excitement I hope you'll be ready when we do our part. he said, unconsciously acknowledging that she had been accepted into his pack.
His thoughts drifted to Vladimir as he awaited her answer. He knew his son would try and do the noble and "right" thing, and challenge this Blaze to try and take back the stolen pups. But knowing Vladimir he would ask first before challenging Blaze. Xavier let out a quiet scoff, ask who ever heard of such a thing he thought incredulously.
He sighed and shook his head slightly Ah Vladimir what are you getting yourself into? but a fleeting smile passed over his face at the thought of his son. His pups had a very special place in his heart, a place where no wolf had ever been, well almost every wolf...but that one wolf was dead and she didn't matter anymore. At least that's what he tried to convince himself of to believe to help ease the pain. Xavier focused back on Ember, and gave her a bit of a smile, though around his frame and eyes still held a certain...evilness to them.

Ember: Ember nodded at the coal pelted brute's words. She too had been expecting a war from her ex-Alpha's actions. I will. she vowed to the dark male. She felt a hint of fear toward the Alpha, but also admired him. He was strong and brave. He never let others push him around, and though he was strict, she didn't really think him as truly evil, just commanding.
She had read into his words. He had allowed her to join him. But in doing so, she had agreed to fight her ex-pack mates. Blaze and a few others would be easy, but what about those who cared for the packs? Those like Echo who tried to help the Stolen Ones? Could she really face those few? She wasn't sure.
